Hello and a happy new year to all my fellow carpers.
I joined the farnham angling club in surrey at the begining of 2007,but I can only manage to fish about one week-end a month,so about twelve trips in all up to end of december.
I must say,the fishing all-round last year seams very slow, not very many fish showing, not only for me,but quite a few anglers on these waters.
Is anybody else haveing the same problem?
I would like to here your views.
Be lucky,Roy.

Hello Roy,

Welcome to the Carper Forum.

I myself can sympathise with your predicament of only getting the odd weekend a month. This can seem like the fishing is slow. I have found to maximise my chances i have been sticking to known catching baits and locations i have caught in the past as time restrictions, dont leave alot of time to explore other methods locations etc. Always try to speak with other anglers fishing your water, im sure most will be very helpful in giving you any info you need regarding, recent catches, bait, rigs, methods, location , etc (unless they are all members of The Secret Squirell Club) Very Happy Laughing Very Happy

Good luck for 2008

Cheers

Carper
