I hope this is ok to do....
It's getting near to that time of year again when we start to welcome new & old friends to Eden's Lakes.
We have been doing the general tidy up & maintenance around our 3 lakes over the winter.
Planting new tree's, Bushes, Bull rushes & Lilly Pads around the lakes.
And we welcomed our first French anglers of the season that decided to brave the cold wintery weather for a 48hr session. Mad guys.
But it proved worth while. They fished on our Jolly Pad Lake and in all the wind, Rain & snow baged themselves 3 carp. Two 40lbers & a 30lb.
So went away very happy especially as one of the 40lbers was his PB.

The Futures Bright..........The Future is Carp Fishing
We had two anglers who fished the week of 29th March to 5th April on the North Lake. The weather was still all over the place with rain, Sunshine, sleet, Frost's, more rain & wind's changing in direction throughout the day.
They manage to bag themselves 6 carp; 15lb common, 17lb, 26lb, 32lb, 32lb 8oz & 33lbs.
Not to bad considering the weather conditions.

North Lake record broken!
We had an angler come and do a 24hr session & one he wont forget, A carp known as Peaches decided to grace the bank at 51lbs. This is great to see especially as we have just come out of the winter period, just think how much she is going to weigh come May/June time when she has got on to some serious feeding.

OOOPS catch up time on the last 3 weeks catches.
And over the last 3 weeks the weather has been all over the place with winds from all directions, rain, sunny, more rain, some near flooding on the North lake, and cold weather. The Carp still seem to be in winter mode!!!
We had 2 Dutch anglers on the North Lake from the 5th to 12th April, unfortunatly they left before I could get there catch reports & pictures, I have emailed them & hope they will email me the full report & pictures.
What I do know is that the had some nice lumps out from 30lbs to 44lbs.
We had a group on Navy lads here on 12th to 19th April on the North Lake & Jolly Pad Lake.
A bit of a mixed week but here are the results for both Lakes.
We had 3 Dutch anglers on 19th to 26th April on the Jolly Pad Lake with one of them catching his PB.
Again the weather was all over the place until the Friday when it turned lovely and hot, so this carp responded to the warm weather.
This weeks catch results for the 26th April to 3rd of May, got better as the week went, with the weather changing from Cold, Very windy & rain to some much needed hot sunny weather.
It was also good to see some familiar face's visitng us again.
This weeks catch results for the 3rd of May to 10th May.
This week started of with scorching weather and by the wednesday the carp were in full swing in spawning.
But this did not deter them from feeding either and some good fish were caught, & all 4 anglers beat or smashed there pb's.
This was the week a 13 year old lad will never forget. Besides the monsoon weather with an day or two of sunny weather, this is the week he obliterated his PB with a 52lb mirror & some cracking backup fish in the 40's & 30's.
North Lake:
52lb (Fish known as Little Jay)
42lb, 42lb
30lb, 30lb, 31lb, 31lb 5oz, 32lb, 33lb, 38lb
And 3 carp under 20lb
We also had an angler on the Jolly Pad Lake but as yet I have not had his full catch report or pictures, but I know he had 9 carp up to 44lb & he lost 5.
catch results for the 24th of May to 31st May
We had to old gents who only fished days on the North Lake (waiting for pictures to be emailed) & 1 Dutch lad who fished the Jolly Pad Lake.
But by the Wednesday the carp had started to spawn again.
