Call me Sprat "Thats about all I ever Catch". I'm what you call a fair weather fisherman only fish when warm and definately not when raining. I'm getting on in years, and one of those who set's a low standard and alway's fail to achieve it, anyhow I keep trying. Ive never been taught fishing just started years ago and kept going, Thing is I still know nothing about it thought I might get some tips here, Hope so.
Well bored you long enough have a good New Year All keep on casting.

|
|
Been meaning to find the time to say hello. Tonight has got to be it or I'll never do it.
Novice carp angler (only ever caught an 8lb mirror back in 1968 - blimey that's 40 years ago). Used to fish a lot (trout, dam, river, sea, boat etc), but sadly not so much any more. Got 3 kids 2 of whom are sort of interested.
Those were too long ago, but I did catch some fish.
Until later, cheers.
Sean.

Greetings again,
Sorry it's been so long since last visit. Thanks for the warm welcome. Pity about the recent weather though - just when I had free time to fish, we had 4 seasons in one day (for 4 days)! Oh well, summer time (BST) sets in this weekend, so let's hope that augers well for some fishing. Tight line all.
Kind regards,
Sean.

Hi Sean,
nice to have you back. Yes, bring on BST, I persoanally feel as though I have been a prisoner in my own home for the whole winter, leave for work in the dark, travel home in the dark, the hour forward at last will bring an end to that and the opprtunity to go fishing in the evening after work and not be setting up in the pitch dark, and packing up in the dark in the morning

Hi lads, my nam is Jim and I own a fishery in France. Living in France I find forums are so useful to keep in touch with my carping roots in the UK. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the coming months.
