Hi,
I use 12 foot Daiwa Powermesh 2.25 TC for most of my UK fishing, but stepped up to the awesome Greys X-Flites 12 foot 3.5 TC for all my fishing abroad, These X-flite are simply the nutz.

ive got a mix of different rods at the moment, and have been using them for ages,i cant even remember what they are, super specialist ring's a bell,pro-carper,shimano etc!Reminds me i should update my tackle, but it still all does the job i bought it for.but i am now fishing an 80acre reservoir and need to cast a long distance,so now is as good a time as any i suppose!i'll have to save up i think!
To be honest there are alot of good rods out there and if the budget was endless then i would go with a set of free sprits.
But when set of three without reels are just under £1000 then i know that most people are going for the cheaper option, (myself included).
I have tested alot of rods, and the budget rods that some of the big manufactures sell are spot on, as the blanks are often the same as the exspensive ones, the only difference being the reel seat and rings, which only makes a small difference to the overall feel of the rods.
Again lots of tackle tarts out there willing to buy a name instead of the action and feel of a rod.
